The learning
"It can happen to anyone"
A self-help package to help individuals reduce personal stress, improve their health and well-being, and increase their personal effectiveness.The programme comprises of two modules:
Module 1: Understanding stress and well-being
Understand what stress is and how it can lead to ill heath and a reduction in personal effectiveness.
Go on your own personal journey to better understand your thoughts and behaviour.
Identify the issues that prevent you being as healthy and effective as you would like to be.
Module 2: Helping yourself
Ideas, tips and techniques to help you deal with stress, develop a healthier lifestyle and adopt a more effective mind set.
We know that people have different needs and interests. So the course can be taken at two different levels:
General information
- Basic for those wanting to know the basics. This can be completed in about two hours.
- In-depth for those who want to know more than just the basics. For people with a greater interest in health and well being it is possible to explore the concepts in more detail providing an opportunity to gain a much more thorough understanding. Details of research behind the theory are also given and interesting anecdotes provided from time to time.
The course provides questionnaires and a quiz, and creates a personalised, printable action plan, together with certification of completion.
Each module can be studied as a stand alone programme.

Module 3: A Healthy Organisation

This module is currently being developed. It will cover:
- Causes of stress at work
- Managing stress for your staff
- Stress at work: the legal position
- Health and Safety guidance
- Risk assessment for work-related stress
- How to carry out a stress risk assessment effectively
Learn to relax
A mini module available only on CD-Rom. Contains tips and techniques for relaxation, including a full audio relaxation routine.
